Welcome to Camp Gan Israel Southampton. We are part of the largest and fastest growing network of Jewish camps in the world.
We are committed to providing a superb day camp experience for Jewish children in the Hamptons. From our ‘Mini Gan’ to pioneer division, campers enjoy a wide range of exciting activities and field trips in a warm and spirited atmosphere. We offer outstanding sports, athletics and creative arts programs under the guidance of professional instructors who are highly qualified in their field. Our warm and nurturing staff work to develop skills, confidence and a sense of fair play within each child.
Our fast growing ‘Mini Gan’ offers a wonderful opportunity for children ages 2-4 years old to have their first experience in a real summer camp.
The children are guided in organized activity, play and social skills by loving, patient and caring staff who serve all year as preschool teachers.
Our afternoon specialty camps have been a real hit with our campers! Now our campers get to enjoy everything Gan Israel has to offer, plus get in depth instruction in something they love three afternoons a week.Each specialty is directed by a professional instructor with many years experience. Our premiere CIT season of 2013 was a huge success!We are delighted to welcome our returning and newest CIT's.

Camp Site
Our camp takes place at the Southampton Montessori School adjacent to the Shinnecock Golf Club. The beautiful 4 acre grounds are completely private and provide for a safe and secure camp environment.
It includes a beautiful playground,sports fields,and large air conditioned bunk rooms.
Staff
Gan Israel prides itself on its exceptional staff. All our staff come with prior camp experience and a desire to work with kids. We are dedicated to small groups with exceptional staff supervision. This assures the best possible care and instruction for our campers. Our counselors are highly trained, dedicated and experienced and are fully trained in First Aid and CPR. Our counselors are known for their personal warmth and ability to care for each child as an individual.
Sports & Tennis
Campers will participate in many different sports and receive expert coaching from our professional sports coaches and our Tennis coaches from Triangle Tennis Club. With patience and encouragement the children develop good sportsmanship,teamwork and confidence. Our sports include, Tennis, Soccer, baseball, flag football, basketball and Gaga.
Jewish Culture
Exciting hands on activities, songs, stories, Challah baking and Shabbat celebrations are all part of the unique Gan Israel experience and will imbue our campers with a great sense of pride in their Jewish heritage, and love for the land of Israel.
Special Activities and Events
Shows, concerts, dress up days, field day, late night cookouts and overnight getaways,add so much to the excitement of camp and challenge the children to develop their talents.)
Trips
We have one weekly trip every Wednesday to favorite places on the East End. Splish Splash Water Park, East End Children's Museum, Pump It Up, Montauk Fishing, Kayaking, Camp Hero. Our pioneer and CIT division will have their very own 1 night 2 day getaway.
Art and Ceramics
Our talented art instructor, Ranelle Wayne, will guide the children through different art projects using a variety of exciting mediums. The children will bring home their projects when they are completed.
Swimming
Camp Gan Israel swims at the brand new 25 meter Hamptons Hamlet Pool (across our camp site). We have a Red Cross certified life guard as well as our Red Cross certified swim instructor at the pool during swim times. Our campers are tested at the start of the summer and then placed in small swim groups for swim lessons.
Specialty Weeks
- Boat Building Week will feature master boat builder Keith Barker. Keith will lead the campers through the steps in building our very own authentic boat from salvaged materials. Campers will also have the opportunity to view dozens of fascinating objects Keith has created using parts from old boats. The week will include an exciting kayaking trip on Peconic Bay.
- Rock Band Week will include a Drumming spectacular.
- Outdoor Adventures/Survival Skills Week will highlight outdoor edibles, geocaching, incredible insects and more. The week will culminate with a trip to Montauk Point State Park (camp hero) where Park rangers will guide us as we hike the trails and live the outdoors.
- Farming week will bring organic gardening to our camp. Slow Food East End will help us create an edible camp garden. Campers will gain knowledge about what they are eating, where it comes from and how to make healthy food choices.
- Wild Wild Water week will feature super fun water activities. car washes, water slides, foam fun, and water races.
